The Hoover F5914 SteamVac applies Clean Surge technology to ensure outstanding works for a carpet cleaner. There are some limitations and some plus, I will share my experience to tell you about both.
I find no heater in the SteamVac, so you need to prepare very hot gallon of water for best cleaning. You need also to prepare my carpet before filling the tank using these two guides: (1) you need to vacuum thoroughly; and (2) you should pre-treat grease-stained areas. This product is very well designed to suck up water, but will remove only the tiniest bits of solid crud. It is recommended that you buy their PreCleaner, though I manage to make it myself for saving a lot of bucks. Just blend 10 parts of sudsy ammonia to one part of Simple Green. Mix them in a spray bottle. Hit the stubborn stains with your spray, and attempt to clean them with a clean cloth or your fingers.
I need to do cleaning quite slowly for optimum carpet cleaning. This is one aspect that this Hoover F5914 SteamVac is inferior in a comparison to the pro cleaners. I need to make forward and one back by holding the trigger down to squirt your hot detergent blend into the carpet. I myself managed to clean my carpets barefoot using this method.
You should apply 5 ounces Hoover’s detergent to a gallon of water. I found that this mix was barely sufficient for a medium-sized room. You will get a 16 ounce bottle in this Hoover F5914 SteamVac. It is recommended not to apply other carpet detergent to maintain its optimum outcome during your cleaning. You can find a Hoover’s gallon size in Amazon for your regular carpet cleaning. It is a perfect way to keep up with a fine result.
