I bought home this vacuum from Amazon, after taking about three weeks of surveying Consumer Reports review. Also, I made comparison to other brands, and even the other Hoover, to consider about the risk, the features, and the performance it offers. Finally, I decided to buy this Hoover U6485900 and here is what I found when cleaning my carpet and floor using this product.
I love the way it places the hose, at the side of the vacuum. I don’t need to struggle trying to put it back in place after using. The company also considers very well about the placement of the power cord hooks; and, there are separated power cord and hose at reasonable distance. The cleaning tools also are arranged perfectly to prevent them from getting interfered with the hose or power cord.
The self-propel is awesome. This is actually not a particular feature I search, but I really like it. It makes as if the vacuum is 10 pounds lighter when you push it forward or pull it backwards. I was amazed by the quality of the bag, which feels like thick cloth. Lastly, the suction power is fantastic.
However, the hose is short. I noticed that many reviews had mentioned the same, though I didn’t take it seriously since extension hose is available out there.
